DESCRIPTION:
HYDRO-CRETE is a predosed two component
composition of white co-polymer latex emulsion and formulated inorganic
powder, when mixed exhibits excellent adhesion, compressive, tensile and
flexible strengths for waterproofing over a variety of substrates.
PROPERTIES:
HYDRO-CRETE forms a durable, hard wearing,
waterproof coating that is unaffected by temperature extremes, sun damage
and dilute mineral acids.
HYDRO-CRETE is waterproof when applied in accordance with manufacturer's
application instructions.
HYDRO-CRETE is suitable for POTABLE WATER.
ADVANTAGES:
HYDRO-CRETE is environmentally friendly,
easy to use, easy to repair and cleans up in water.
HYDRO-CRETE is a cost effective alternative to a variety of products.
PRINCIPAL USES:
HYDRO-CRETE provides an extremely strong
coating for a variety of solid external and internal concrete, concrete
blocks, asphalt, rolled steel, timber, fibre cement, polystyrene, glass
etc. HYDRO-CRETE bonds well to these materials and can be applied in a
very thin coat or feathered from thick to thin. Common areas of use are
planter boxes, basement walls, podium slabs, concrete tanks, retaining
walls, non-slip floors and stairs, restore rain damaged slabs, repair
"ponding" surfaces, repair airport pavement, repair parking
areas.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Ensure the surface is free of all dirt,
oil, grease, curing compound, form release agents or anything foreign to
the natural substrate. In cases of block or brickwork, the joints must be
flush finished.
PRIMER: Prime the prepared surface
with HYDRO-CRETE Primer at the rate of 8 - 10 sqm per litre by means of a
roller or spray. Allow to tack off.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Pour the latex
emulsion into a container, add the required mixing water, add the dry
powder mix slowly, at the same time mixing with a mechanical stirrer. A
slow stirrer such as a festo is suitable.
APPLICATION: To the primed surface
apply the mixed HYDRO-CRETE by means of a hopper gun, trowel, squeegee or
broom. For waterproofing, apply a minimum of 2mm thick and sponge off
while wet.
COVERAGE: Approx. 6 sqm per 30kg
unit at a 3 - 4mm application.
