PREPARATION:
Surfaces dry, clean, sound and free of oil,
grease and loose materials.
PRIMING:
Walls and floors should be primed with
WETFLEX Primer applied with either brush or roller. Plasterboard surfaces
do not require priming except where jointing compounds have been used.
Depending on weather conditions primer will be touch dry in about 15
minutes. Coverage is approximately 6 to 10 square metres per litre
depending on surface porosity.
CONCRETE: Four weeks curing to be allowed.
CEMENT RENDER: Two weeks curing required.
FIBRE CEMENT & PLASTERBOARD: Must be suitable for wet area and
fastened in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
WETFLEX APPLICATION:
Most critical areas are the interfaces
between walls and floor and at vertical corners.
Use WETFLEX with REOBAND and bond breaker to the following:-
(A) on covering areas between wall and floor.
(B) the corner between the shower hob and floor.
(C) vertical corners in showers where tiles are to be fixed.
(D) floor cracks and joints between sheet flooring.
To prepared surfaces apply one coat of
WETFLEX with a brush or roller over the whole area to be tiled. In areas
treated with a bond breaker and around waste outlets, pipes and vents,
apply REOBAND onto the WETFLEX, bedding it in two directions to ensure
that no air bubbles remain. Cover with a second coat of WETFLEX.
WETFLEX APPLICATION WALLS:
With a roller apply WETFLEX in two
directions on dry primed surface at the rate of 1 litre per square metre.
Allow approximately one day - depending on weather conditions - to dry
before tiling.
WETFLEX APPLICATION FLOORS:
Apply WETFLEX by brush or roller to primed
area. Immediately position REO-FAB whilst wet, bedding in two directions
to eliminate air bubbles. Cover with a coat of WETFLEX. Allow
approximately 2 - 3 days depending on weather conditions - to dry before
tiling.
COVERAGE:
Approximately 1.5 litres per square metre
to provide a dry film thickness of no less than 1mm.
CLEANING:
Wash equipment with clean water and remove
cured material with mineral turps.
PACKAGING:
WETFLEX is available in 20Ltr pails and
4Ltr shower kits.
STORAGE:
Protect from frost and heat.
SHELF LIFE:
One year if stored in a dry place between
10°C and 25°C sealed.
PRECAUTIONS:
WETFLEX is non-hazardous but in case of eye
contamination rinse with clean water and obtain medical advice.

GENERAL SURFACE PREPARATION |
| Concrete: |
Concrete and cement to be full cured. Remove laitance, form release and
curing compounds - refer ADCRETE INDUSTRIES for suitable curing and form
release compounds. |
| Masonry: |
Substrate to be clean, dry and free of
contaminants such as grease or oils. |
| Timber: |
Surface to be clean, dry and
free of oil residue. |
| Steel: |
Remove grease and oil. Mechanical abrading and
de-rusting will suffice in most instances. |
| Pre-painted surfaces: |
Remove
flaking and unsound paint - sand back gloss finishes. Ensure surfaces are
sound and well bonded prior to the application of WETFLEX Primer. |
